Your journey will start at Marlow Rugby Club heading along the idyllic riverside past the town’s famous iron suspension bridge before diving into the depths of the woodland. Passing through Hambleden village, The Chilterns await where you will start to notice the steepness of ground below. Despite the challenging climbs, make sure you take the time to look skyward to spy a famed Red Kite flying high overhead, spurring you onward.
Looping back towards Marlow, the journey becomes easier underfoot as the trail descends to the gravelly welcome of the Thames Path. From boats and canoes to otters and water voles, the waterway is always full of life, so keep an eye out to see what you can spot as you journey West.
Passing Dorney Lake on your left, you may see rowers out on the stretch of water where Team GB claimed a total of 12 medals in the 2012 Olympic Games. Crossing back over the river and making your way on to the last stretch of the trail, excitement is in the air as the finish line comes into sight with our festival village waiting for your arrival. Grab a drink, visit our food trucks or lounge in a beanbag listening to live music as you relax and celebrate your achievement.
